The Structural Read
As we read the quotes, the regular session extended the move the after-hours trade began: $22.13 at the close, $20.73 in pre-market trading at 9:07 a.m. and $19.36 at 9:36 a.m., per Nasdaq data.
As we read CNBC’s report, the results beat estimates and the full-year revenue forecast went up, so the share move sits alongside a slower fourth-quarter growth outlook of about 33% and the CFO’s comment on near-term revenue; the sources we read do not name a single cause.
As we read the figures with our earlier pieces, Figma has paired more AI credits at the same price with rising hosting costs; this piece adds the market’s first full-session price, not a reason for it.
Praveer Melwani, Figma CFO, to CNBC, 4 November 2026
“What that means is you’re potentially trading off near-term revenue, investing in your customers, and then allowing yourself to then grow durably over the long term.”
