Corrections Policy: How FourWeekMBA Fixes Errors

We aim to get every figure right, and when we don’t, we fix it in the open. This policy explains how. It goes with our editorial standards and How we source.

1. How to report an error

Reply to any FourWeekMBA or Business Engineer newsletter with the page address, the figure or statement you believe is wrong, and the source that shows it. A link to the filing helps us check quickly.

2. How we check it

We check the reported figure against the primary source: the company’s filing, annual report or proxy statement for the period in question. If the page is right, it stays as it is.

3. How corrections appear on the page

  • Factual errors (a wrong figure, date, name or ownership stake) are corrected on the page, and a dated note is added near the top: Correction (date): what was wrong, what it is now, and the source.
  • Figures that were right at the time but have since been superseded by a newer filing are not treated as errors. They are kept as history, dated, and the current figure is added with its source.
  • Third-party figures that were presented as facts are relabelled as estimates, with who made them and when.
  • Structured data on the page (such as FAQ answers shown to search engines) is updated to match the corrected text.
  • Minor fixes that don’t change meaning, such as typos and formatting, are made without a note.

4. Corrections are visible, not silent

We don’t quietly rewrite figures. Where a number changes because it was wrong, the correction note says so, so readers who saw the earlier version can see what changed.

Who is responsible

Corrections are the responsibility of Gennaro Cuofano, who leads the research behind FourWeekMBA.
