The Discipline of Product in the AI Era. Charter the outcome. Freeze the spec. Ship the two surfaces.

An AI product's core component is probabilistic, rented and replaced every six weeks. The book says three inversions follow: the spec becomes the suite, the product has two surfaces (the human's and the agent's), and the product drifts underneath you.
Its order inverts the demo era's: the model is chosen last, in week seven of eight, because by then the suite exists to choose it with. It also treats the model vendor as a competitor that absorbs roadmap items release by release.
Define success in numbers, gather sixty to a few hundred signed cases, and build a three-layer pipeline before any code, any model, any feature.
The human sees the interface; the agent sees the specification. Both must reach the same outcome, and product now designs, ships and instruments both.
Roadmap items are perishable compensations or durable requirements. Build the perishable ones cheap, and count their deletion as progress when the model catches up.
