GoDaddy’s Airo AI Tops $100M Run Rate, Up From $10M in Q1

GoDaddy said on 29 October 2026 that the annualized bookings run rate of Airo, its AI website product, exceeded $100 million in the third quarter, more than doubling the $50 million it shared one quarter earlier, according to its earnings release.

CEO Aman Bhutani said in his prepared remarks that the run rate was “up from $50 million last quarter and $10 million the quarter before”.

Business Pill · Distribution Advantage

A short explainer on distribution advantage. It teaches the general idea only and says nothing about GoDaddy.

The key insight: By our arithmetic, Airo’s run rate of just over $100 million is about 1.7% of GoDaddy’s annualized third-quarter bookings, after rising about tenfold in two quarters on the figures CEO Aman Bhutani gave.

What GoDaddy Reported

GoDaddy said third-quarter revenue was $1,341.8 million, up 6%, and total bookings were $1,431.7 million, up 5.7%, its release shows. Applications and Commerce revenue grew 9% to $524.3 million and Core Platform revenue grew 4% to $817.5 million.

Operating income was $362.5 million, up 22%, a 27% margin. Free cash flow was $480.8 million, up 9%, and the company had 20.5 million customers, the release shows.

Bhutani said in the release: “Our AI transformation is gaining momentum, and this quarter Airo hit an annualized bookings run rate of over $100 million and began incrementally contributing to our bookings growth”.

What Was Posted on X

Wall St Engine on X, 29 Oct: GoDaddy Q3 revenue $1.34B (est. $1.33B), EPS $2.08 (est. $1.85), FY26 revenue guide $5.22B-$5.26B (est. $5.24B); Airo above a $100M annualized bookings run rate, more than doubling $50M one quarter ago.

How Big Airo Is Inside GoDaddy

By our arithmetic, a run rate of just over $100 million is about 1.7% of GoDaddy’s third-quarter bookings annualized, which come to about $5.7 billion. On the figures Bhutani gave, the run rate rose about tenfold in two quarters.

Bhutani said Airo’s bookings “more than offset the impacts of migration of our legacy website products”. He said GoDaddy made Airo its flagship website product, replacing Websites + Marketing, and that in late Q3 Airo became the default option in the domains path.

CFO Mark McCaffrey said that growth “came largely before we introduced Airo in the domains purchase path, our largest funnel, in late Q3”. He said more than 70% of Airo customers have at least two paid products.

Agents, AI Search and Pricing

Bhutani said that in Q3 Google “quickly pivoted towards AI-mode for the bulk of search in our space”, and that based on early data GoDaddy believes the impact to its traffic has been small.

He said new cohorts “are increasingly starting inside coding assistants, command line tools and agent interfaces, and they buy differently”, and that GoDaddy is seeing sharper discounting across the industry on products like domains. The release says GoDaddy expanded its Developer Platform with agent-friendly APIs for hosting, professional email and commerce.

The Outlook

GoDaddy said it expects to finish toward the higher end of its full-year revenue range of $5.215 billion to $5.255 billion, and reaffirmed a free cash flow target of about $1.8 billion and a normalized EBITDA margin target of over 33%. Bhutani said the company will hold an Investor Night on 1 December.

The Structural Read

As we read the prepared remarks, GoDaddy is moving Airo into its largest sales funnel: Bhutani said Airo became the default option in the domains path in late Q3, and CFO Mark McCaffrey said Airo’s unit growth came largely before that change.

As we read the remarks, GoDaddy describes two shifts at once: Google moving to AI Mode in its search space, which it believes had a small traffic impact so far, and new customers starting inside coding assistants and agent interfaces.

By our arithmetic, Applications and Commerce, the segment that holds Airo, was about 39% of third-quarter revenue ($524.3 million of $1,341.8 million).

The Business Engineer Lens

This story maps onto the Business Engineer framework From SaaS to AGaaS.

The framework puts it this way: “Every prior โ€œas-a-serviceโ€ shift rewrote the industryโ€™s value hierarchy.”

As we read it, GoDaddy describes Airo in those terms, as Bhutani said Airo is performing more marketing and commerce jobs for customers. The framework was published by The Business Engineer and does not discuss GoDaddy.

What Is Not Established

GoDaddy gives Airo only as an annualized bookings run rate; it does not report Airo revenue, customers or margins. The share of bookings above is our arithmetic, comparing a run rate with annualized quarterly bookings, so it is an approximation.
