SpaceX Bundles Grok, Cursor and X Premium From $8 to $200

Grok, Cursor and X Premium are now sold as one product. “We’ve unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium. Introducing The X Subscription,” the verified @SpaceXSI account, SpaceX Super Intelligence, posted on X on 12 October 2026.

Cursor’s own pricing page now lists five individual tiers of The X Subscription, from $0 to $200 a month, and describes the $8 entry tier as a “Shared AI usage pool across all products”.

Business Pill · PAYING FOR WORK, NOT SEATS

A short explainer of usage-based pricing: paying for the work done rather than for seats. It teaches the general idea only and says nothing about any company in this story.

The key insight: As we read it, the pricing page turns three products into one meter: a single shared usage pool, sold in tiers from $8 to $200 a month, where the price of each step up is expressed as a multiple of Plus rather than as a separate bill for chat, coding or the social network.

The Five Tiers

Free costs $0 a month and comes with limited AI usage, limited agent and chat requests, and the ability to post, reply and follow on X, according to the pricing page.

Plus costs $8 a month. The page calls it “Our introductory plan” and lists Cursor, Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build, the Grok API and X Premium features such as the checkmark. A footnote says “Only Grok models are available on this plan”.

Premium, marked “Most popular”, costs $30 a month and offers “4x more usage compared to Plus”. The page lists the latest Grok models, cloud agents and automations, code hosting and AI code reviews, third-party models at API list price, and Grok Bot.

Super costs $100 a month for “15x more usage compared to Plus” and priority model access at peak times. Ultra costs $200 a month for “50x more usage compared to Plus” and the earliest access to all products and models. A Teams plan is listed at $30 and up per user per month, and Enterprise at custom pricing.

What Was Posted on X

The verified @SpaceXSI account (SpaceX Super Intelligence) posted this on 12 October 2026: “We’ve unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium. Introducing The X Subscription.” The post carries a video, which this piece does not transcribe; the tier prices above come from Cursor’s pricing page.

What Existing Subscribers Are Told

The verified @Subscriptions account posted that X Premium is now part of The X Subscription, “starting at $8/month”. It told current subscribers: “Already on X Premium or X Premium+? Your comparable plan on The X Subscription costs the same or less. Switch from your subscription settings on X, or keep your current plan.”

The @XCreators account added that switching “won’t affect your Creator Subscriptions or Original Content Rewards enrollment.”

Third-Party Models Cost Extra

The monthly prices cover the shared pool, not every model. The page states: “Third Party model usage in Cursor is not included in the monthly prices shown and must be purchased separately.”

Its FAQ also says that “Subscriptions are only sold directly through X Subscription Corp.” The page footer carries Anysphere’s copyright and links to SpaceXAI Subscription Terms.

Usage on each paid tier of The X Subscription as a multiple of Plus: Plus 1x, Premium 4x, Super 15x, Ultra 50x
Usage on each paid tier as a multiple of the $8 Plus tier, as stated on Cursor’s pricing page on 13 October 2026: Premium 4x, Super 15x, Ultra 50x. The page gives no absolute usage amounts; Free is listed as limited.

Where This Sits

This publication has covered Cursor’s owner Anysphere joining SpaceX’s orbit, Grok Bot’s plan to order from a photo of a payment card, and SpaceX’s reported search for $40 billion of debt to buy Nvidia chips.

As we read it, the new pricing puts a chat assistant, a coding tool and a social network behind one bill and one usage meter, with the usage multiples doing the work that separate prices used to do.

The Structural Read

The page draws the line between what the pool covers and what it does not. Grok models sit inside the monthly price; on the $8 Plus tier, “Only Grok models are available on this plan”, and third-party model usage in Cursor is billed separately.

As we read it, that makes the tier structure a routing decision as much as a price list: the cheapest way to use Cursor is through the Grok models the bundle includes.

For existing X Premium and X Premium+ subscribers, the @Subscriptions account says the comparable plan “costs the same or less” and that they can switch or keep their current plan.

Three Implications

CURSOR USERS The pricing page lists Cursor in every paid tier from $8, with Grok models included and third-party models in Cursor billed separately by usage.

X PREMIUM SUBSCRIBERS The @Subscriptions account says the comparable plan on The X Subscription costs the same or less, and that subscribers can switch from their settings or keep their current plan.

RIVAL AI SUBSCRIPTIONS As we read it, a $30 tier that the page lists with Grok Bot, cloud agents and X features sets a bundle price point that standalone chat and coding subscriptions will be compared against.

The Business Engineer Lens

This story maps onto the Business Engineer framework The Agentic Harness War.

The framework puts it this way: “Value migrates model โ†’ harness โ†’ skill marketplace. Pricing power leaves the model and lands on whoever controls the surface and its reusable workflows.”

As we read it, The X Subscription is a test of that rule: one owner now sells the model (Grok), the coding harness (Cursor) and a consumer surface (X) through one bill and one usage pool.

What Is Not Established

The texts we read give usage only as multiples of the Plus tier, not as absolute amounts of requests or tokens. They give no subscriber numbers, revenue or uptake figures.

We did not read the standalone list prices for Grok, Cursor or X Premium before the change, so this piece makes no comparison with them. The video attached to the @SpaceXSI post was not transcribed.

The Bottom Line

On 12 October 2026 the verified @SpaceXSI account announced The X Subscription, which unifies plans across Grok, Cursor and X Premium. Cursor’s pricing page lists five individual tiers from $0 to $200 a month on one shared usage pool, with third-party models in Cursor billed separately.

95,000+ executives read Business Engineer for the AI strategy frameworks cited by ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.

A note on sourcing. This piece is built on first-party texts only: the post by the verified @SpaceXSI account (SpaceX Super Intelligence) of 12 October 2026, the posts by the verified @Subscriptions and @XCreators accounts of the same date, and Cursor’s pricing page, all read in full on 13 October 2026. Prices and usage multiples are as listed on that page; we did not read the earlier standalone prices and make no comparison with them. Nothing here is a forecast, and nothing here is financial or investment advice.
