Meta Releases AI Wardrobe App Style Sketch in 3 Countries

Meta has put an AI wardrobe app called Style Sketch into app stores in three countries. Its App Store listing names the developer as Meta Platforms, Inc., lists the app as free and rated 18+, and its description says: “Your closet, styled for you”. TechCrunch reported on 29 October 2026 that the app is available in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand on iOS and Android.

A day earlier, on 28 October, TechCrunch reported another Meta AI app, the virtual pet Waddle World, out in the Philippines. By our count, the two apps are live in four countries between them.

Business Pill · Distribution advantage

An evergreen Business Engineer explainer on distribution advantage. It teaches the general idea only and does not discuss Meta or Style Sketch.

The key insight: Meta has put Style Sketch, an AI wardrobe app that builds a closet from a user’s Instagram photos, into stores in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand, TechCrunch reported; with Waddle World in the Philippines, that is four countries for two new Meta AI apps in two days, by our count.

What Style Sketch Does

The listing says: “Connect to Instagram and your closet builds itself from the photos you’ve already shared”. Users can also add clothes manually, and the listing says to “snap a photo, shoot a quick video, or import from your camera roll”.

From that wardrobe, the app suggests outfits. The listing promises “outfit combinations built entirely from your own wardrobe, matched to your body, your style, and what you actually have on” and says users can “Try looks on a realistic model matched to your body shape and skin tone”.

It also plans by weather and by trip. The listing says users get “Your look for today, with the weather already factored in” and, for travel, “a day-by-day outfit plan that accounts for the forecast and what you’re actually doing”. It adds: “No shopping required, no starting from scratch”.

US downloads in the first 40 days for Meta’s Muse agent and for ChatGPT, from Sensor Tower data as reported by TechCrunch on 20 October 2026; the 2.8x ratio is our arithmetic. Context for Meta’s run of standalone AI apps.

Where It Is Live

TechCrunch reported the app in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand and said Meta did not respond to its request for comment. TechCrunch also wrote that “It’s unknown whether Meta plans to launch Style Sketch more widely”.

The App Store listing we read is the Indonesian store. It shows the app at No. 199 in the Lifestyle chart, a size of 108.4 MB, English and 33 more languages, and a copyright line of “ยฉ 2026 Meta”. It notes that the app “has not received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview”.

The app was spotted earlier on X. Social media consultant Matt Navarra posted on 28 October that “Meta quietly launched an AI fashion app!”, adding that it “connects to Facebook & Instagram to build a wardrobe from photos you’ve already posted”.

Meta’s Run of Standalone AI Apps

Style Sketch follows Waddle World, which we covered in our piece on Meta’s Tamagotchi-style AI pet. Its listing also names Meta Platforms, Inc., says the app is free to play and says users must be 18 or older. TechCrunch tied the launches to a wider push, writing that the Wall Street Journal reported Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees the company plans to release far more apps than it has historically.

TechCrunch’s report and the listing give no download figures for either app. For Meta’s AI agent, Muse, as we reported in our piece on the personal agent race, TechCrunch cited Sensor Tower data showing 10.2 million US downloads in Muse’s first 40 days, against 3.7 million for ChatGPT over its own first 40 days. By our arithmetic that is about 2.8 times.

The Structural Read

As we read the listing, the app’s starting input is content users have already posted to Instagram, rather than new data they have to enter; manual uploads are the alternative it offers.

As we read TechCrunch’s reporting, both new apps are live in a handful of Southeast Asian countries and both listings name Meta Platforms, Inc. as developer; TechCrunch wrote that it is unknown whether Meta plans to launch Style Sketch more widely.

By our arithmetic, Muse drew about 2.8 times ChatGPT’s first-40-day US downloads, according to Sensor Tower data reported by TechCrunch; the listing and TechCrunch give no download figures for Style Sketch or Waddle World.

Three Implications

FOR INSTAGRAM USERS The listing says the closet can be built from photos already shared on Instagram, or added manually by photo, video or camera-roll import.

FOR META’S APP PIPELINE TechCrunch wrote that the WSJ reported Mark Zuckerberg told employees Meta plans to release far more apps than it has historically.

FOR FASHION AND STYLING APPS TechCrunch named Alta and Google Photos among apps that already use AI to digitise wardrobes and visualise outfits.

The Business Engineer Lens

This story maps onto the Business Engineer framework The Product Overhang Doctrine.

The framework opens: “In any product cycle, there are two curves to follow.”

As we read the listing, Style Sketch packages existing capabilities, Instagram photos and AI outfit suggestions, as a single-purpose app. The framework was published in June 2026 and does not discuss Meta or Style Sketch.

What Is Not Established

Meta has not commented on Style Sketch, according to TechCrunch, and has not said whether it will launch beyond the three countries, how many people use it or whether it will carry ads or shopping links. The listing describes features; we have not tested the app. The four-country count and the 2.8 times ratio are our arithmetic from the reports cited.

Execution Fault Lines, Concentrated Demand, and Geopolitical Firewalls

This week’s issue: the AI build is not short of demand for its parts. It is short of cheap money, and its end revenue rests on a narrow base of large, often venture-funded buyers.

The Bottom Line

Style Sketch, listed under Meta Platforms, Inc., builds a wardrobe from a user’s Instagram photos and suggests outfits and try-ons, according to its App Store listing. TechCrunch reported it live in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand on 29 October, a day after it reported Meta’s Waddle World in the Philippines.

A note on sourcing. The app’s features, developer, rating, size, languages and chart position come from its Apple App Store listing in the Indonesian store, which we read on 30 October 2026. Availability by country and Meta’s lack of comment come from TechCrunch’s report of 29 October 2026. The Muse download figures are Sensor Tower data as reported by TechCrunch. We have not used the app.
