CoreWeave Enters India With 240 MW Planned at Adani Campus

CoreWeave (Nasdaq: CRWV) announced its entry into India on 7 October 2026. Through a collaboration with AdaniConneX, it plans to expand its AI Cloud platform with 240 MW of data center capacity in Navi Mumbai, across three 80 MW buildings at AdaniConneX’s Taloja campus.

CoreWeave says it will be the sole tenant across the three buildings, with the opportunity to double capacity by expanding by up to 240 MW at the campus. It expects the first phase to be available in mid-2028, with additional capacity coming online in phases.

Business Pill · THE CUSTOMER THAT MAKES THE PROJECT

A one-minute explainer of the anchor customer: a large, committed first buyer whose promise lets a project get built. It teaches the general idea only and says nothing about any company in this story.

The key insight: CoreWeave is the whole campus’s customer. It says it will be the sole tenant of three 80 MW buildings and holds an option to add up to 240 MW more, so the site’s demand starts as one company’s commitment. As we read it, the deal gives AdaniConneX a single anchor tenant and gives CoreWeave room to grow in place.

What CoreWeave Plans to Build

The company says it plans to deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform on its AI Cloud platform in India, for training, inference, reasoning and agentic workloads.

It says the Taloja facilities are being designed for high-density AI infrastructure, including direct liquid cooling for GPU data halls and a non-evaporative chilled water system. CoreWeave also says it intends to establish an office and hire locally in India.

“India has the talent, developers, and ambition to become a major center of AI innovation,” said Sachin Jain, Chief Operating Officer of CoreWeave.

CoreWeave's planned India capacity against its contracted power, in megawatts, from its release of 7 October 2
CoreWeave’s planned India capacity against its contracted power, in megawatts, from its release of 7 October 2026: 240 MW across three 80 MW buildings at AdaniConneX’s Taloja campus, an opportunity to expand by up to 240 MW more (480 MW in total is our arithmetic), and approximately 4.2 GW of contracted power as of its 11 August 2026 earnings call.

How It Fits CoreWeave’s Footprint

The release places India after CoreWeave’s recent entry into Indonesia and says that, as of its earnings call on 11 August 2026, CoreWeave had approximately 4.2 gigawatts of contracted power. On our arithmetic, the planned 240 MW is under 6% of that figure.

The release says the investment supports India’s national AI ambitions, including the IndiaAI Mission.

What Bloomberg Adds

Bloomberg, in a report syndicated by NDTV Profit, says the investment is expected to total in the multiple billions of dollars over the lifetime of the project. It describes AdaniConneX as a joint venture of Adani Group and EdgeConneX.

Bloomberg also reports that CoreWeave chief executive Mike Intrator said last month that the company is “largely sold out” of capacity.

The Structural Read

The timeline is long. CoreWeave expects the first phase in mid-2028, with more capacity in phases, so the capacity announced today is two years or more from use.

The scale is small against CoreWeave’s total. The release gives approximately 4.2 GW of contracted power as of August; on our arithmetic the planned 240 MW is under 6% of it.

The release names no price. Bloomberg puts the investment in the multiple billions of dollars over the project’s life, and reports CoreWeave’s chief executive saying last month the company is largely sold out of capacity.

Three Implications

ONE TENANT, THREE BUILDINGS CoreWeave says it will be the sole tenant across the three 80 MW buildings at the Taloja campus.

GROWTH IS PRE-AGREED The release gives CoreWeave the opportunity to double capacity by expanding by up to 240 MW at the campus.

CAPACITY ARRIVES FROM MID-2028 CoreWeave expects the first phase in mid-2028, with additional capacity coming online in phases.

What Is Not Established

We read CoreWeave’s release in full and Bloomberg’s report as syndicated by NDTV Profit. In the release we read, CoreWeave gives no investment figure and no customer names; the multiple-billions estimate is Bloomberg’s.

We did not read a statement from AdaniConneX, and we did not contact CoreWeave or AdaniConneX. The mid-2028 date and the expansion option are the company’s plans.

The Bottom Line

CoreWeave plans its first India capacity as the sole tenant of three 80 MW buildings at AdaniConneX’s Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai, running NVIDIA Vera Rubin, with the first phase expected in mid-2028 and an option to add up to 240 MW more.
