Anduril Mulls Raising at $120B, Nearly 2x Its May Valuation

The Information reported on 27 October 2026, under the headline “Is Anduril Worth $120 Billion?”, that the defense-tech company is considering raising money at a valuation of about $120 billion, according to a summary of the report posted on X. Senior employees have signaled to investors that Anduril hopes to raise a new funding round in the first quarter of 2027; the round is still months away, so it is too soon to say whether it will happen at that price, the summary says.

In plain words, Anduril builds autonomous weapons, drones and the software that controls them. Its last priced round, announced on 13 May 2026, valued it at $61 billion, so about $120 billion would be nearly twice that, by our arithmetic.

The key insight: As we read it, the reported target would put Anduril at about 55 times its 2025 revenue of $2.2 billion, by our arithmetic, against about 28 times at the May valuation; the summary of The Information’s report says it is too soon to say whether the round will happen at that price.

Anduril’s valuation, $ billions: $61B in the May 2026 Series H (Anduril) against about $120B considered for a round in the first quarter of 2027 (The Information, 27 Oct 2026, via an X summary; no round priced). 120 / 61 = 1.97x is our arithmetic.
  • The target. About $120 billion, with a new round hoped for in the first quarter of 2027, according to the summary of The Information’s report by Julia Hornstein.
  • The caveat. The round is still months away, and it is too soon to say whether it will happen at that price, per the same summary.

What Was Posted on X

StockMKTNewz posted on 27 October that Anduril reportedly considers raising money at a valuation of about $120 billion, the poster’s figure.

How Anduril Got Here

  • June 2025. Anduril raised $2.5 billion at a $30.5 billion valuation in a Series G led by Founders Fund, TechCrunch reported; a spokesperson told TechCrunch the round was over 8 times oversubscribed and that revenue doubled in 2024 to about $1 billion.
  • May 2026. Anduril announced a $5 billion Series H that brought its valuation to $61 billion, led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. Chief executive Brian Schimpf’s investor letter, published with the announcement, says the company more than doubled revenue, reaching $2.2 billion in 2025.
  • October 2026. An employee tender offer would value Anduril at roughly $90 billion, CNBC reported on 14 October, adding that Anduril confirmed the report. Employees can sell shares at $94.80 apiece; the offer opened on 13 October, closes on 9 November and is capped at $1.3 billion, according to the report.

By our arithmetic, the valuation went from $30.5 billion to about $90 billion in 16 months, or about 2.95 times. A round at about $120 billion would be about a third above the tender price and about 55 times Anduril’s 2025 revenue of $2.2 billion; the May valuation was about 28 times that revenue.

Connecting the Coverage

On 27 October we reported that Anduril and Qualcomm unveiled BlueChip, a product line beginning with a laptop designed and assembled in the United States, and that Palmer Luckey estimates it will cost about 20% more. What’s new: the funding report puts a price on the company behind that push.

In September we covered how Anduril’s founding pitch deck named its own capture rate, as Luckey described it on a podcast. Elsewhere in defense and security AI, Striveworks said its Army AI contract grew tenfold to $700 million over five years, and police AI start-up 22one reached a valuation of around $400 million, the Financial Times reported.

CNBC also reported this month that Anduril signed a U.S. Navy shipyard contract worth up to $2.9 billion.

The Structural Read

As we read it, the October tender gives the nearest priced reference point: roughly $90 billion, with employees able to sell at $94.80 a share, according to CNBC.

Anduril’s May announcement says the Series H money gives it the ability to keep investing in manufacturing capacity, research and development, and the infrastructure to build and field defense systems at scale.

The X summary of The Information’s report gives no raise size, lead investors or terms.

Brian Schimpf, Anduril chief executive, 13 May 2026

“Today, Anduril is announcing our Series H: a $5 billion raise which brings our valuation to $61 billion, led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz.”

Three Implications

FOR ANDURIL A round at about $120 billion would be about a third above the roughly $90 billion tender price, by our arithmetic; the summary says the round is still months away.

FOR EMPLOYEES The tender offer that opened on 13 October lets employees sell shares at $94.80 each, capped at $1.3 billion, according to CNBC.

FOR DEFENSE-TECH INVESTORS Anduril’s valuation went from $30.5 billion in June 2025 to about $90 billion in October 2026, about 2.95 times, by our arithmetic on figures from TechCrunch and CNBC.

The Business Engineer Lens

This story maps onto the Business Engineer framework AI’s Geopolitical Chokepoint.

The framework argues that the AI race also runs through physical supply chains: “The digital economy rests on a physical foundation that most people in that economy never see.”

Anduril’s May announcement says its new money funds manufacturing capacity and the infrastructure to build and field defense systems at scale. The framework was published in December 2025 and does not discuss Anduril.
