Traders Price 55% Odds of an Anthropic IPO in Week of Nov 16

Traders on Polymarket put a 55% chance on Anthropic’s shares starting to trade between Monday 16 and Friday 20 November, by our arithmetic from the venue’s date contracts read at 21:39 UTC on 4 November: 56% by 20 November, against 1% by 15 November. These are market-implied probabilities, not forecasts.

On valuation, the same traders put 64.8% on an IPO price that values Anthropic at $1.50 trillion to $1.75 trillion. A trending topic on X on 4 November read “Traders Bet Big on Anthropic Ahead of Massive IPO”.

Polymarket implied probabilities for Anthropic IPO timing and valuation, 2 November vs 4 November 2026
Polymarket implied probabilities, 2 November 2026 at about 17:52 UTC (as read for our 2 November piece) and 4 November 2026 at 21:39 UTC. Market prices, not forecasts. Changes are our arithmetic. Chart: FourWeekMBA.

The key insight: As we read it, traders are pricing a narrow window rather than a distant event: 55% on the week of 16 November by our arithmetic, 64.8% on a $1.50 trillion to $1.75 trillion IPO price, and about half on a first-day close at $1.75 trillion or more, while Anthropic’s filings still leave the offering price blank.

Traders Now Give Anthropic a 27.9% Chance of 2026’s Largest IPO

On a separate Polymarket market, “Largest IPO by market cap in 2026?”, the Anthropic contract showed a 27.9% implied probability when we read the page at 23:52 UTC on 4 November, with SpaceX leading at 72%. These are market-implied odds, not forecasts. The market resolves to the company with the highest market capitalization based on the official closing price on its first trading day, among companies that complete an IPO in 2026.

Polymarket’s own price history for the contract shows 48.7% at 23:00 UTC on 28 October. Most of the move came over the evening of 2 November, from 41.7% at 20:00 UTC to 30.1% at 01:00 UTC on 3 November. By our arithmetic, the contract is down about 21 points in a week.

The X account @unusual_whales posted at 23:33 UTC that Polymarket traders saw a 31.7% chance, down from around 46% a week ago; the price on the page when we read it 19 minutes later was 27.9%. To resolve Yes, Anthropic has to list in 2026 and close its first trading day with the highest market cap of any 2026 IPO, so the contract mixes timing and valuation; the date contracts below price the timing alone.

What the Timing Contracts Show

Each date on Polymarket’s “Anthropic IPO by” page is a separate contract that resolves Yes if Anthropic shares are listed on a public securities exchange and open for trading by 11:59 PM ET on that date. At our read, the implied probabilities were 3% by 16 November, 10% by 17 November, 19% by 18 November, 36% by 19 November and 56% by 20 November.

Later dates rose to 65% by 23 November, 73% by 25 November and 84% by 30 November, then 88% by both 15 December and 31 December. The event has traded $6,393,336 since it opened on 6 September, the page says, and the 31 December contract alone $1,560,174.

By our arithmetic, that leaves 28% on a listing between 21 and 30 November, 4% on December and 12% on no listing by the end of the year. A separate Polymarket month market put November 2026 at 84.7% when we read it at 21:24 UTC, within a point of the by-30-November contract.

What Traders Price for Valuation

Polymarket’s IPO valuation market resolves on the implied fully diluted valuation at the final IPO price in the final prospectus; preliminary price ranges do not count. At 21:39 UTC it showed $1.50 trillion to $1.75 trillion at 64.8%, $1.75 trillion to $2.00 trillion at 20%, $1.25 trillion to $1.50 trillion at 6.2% and under $1.25 trillion at 1.3%.

A separate closing market cap market resolves on the market capitalisation at the close of the first trading day. It showed $1.75 trillion to $2.0 trillion at 24%, $1.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion at 23.8%, $2.0 trillion to $2.25 trillion at 17% and $1.25 trillion to $1.5 trillion at 15.7%.

By our arithmetic, traders put about 72% on an IPO price valuation below $1.75 trillion, but only about 49% on a first-day closing market cap below that level. The two markets are separate, so the comparison is approximate.

What Changed in Two Days

When we last read these markets, at about 17:52 UTC on 2 November, the timing contracts stood at 41% by 19 November, 57% by 20 November, 83% by 30 November and 91% by 31 December. By our arithmetic, the 19 November contract has since lost 5 points and the 31 December contract 3 points, while 30 November gained 1.

On valuation, the $1.75 trillion to $2.00 trillion IPO-price bracket fell from 25% to 20%, and the $1.75 trillion to $2.0 trillion closing-cap bracket from 34% to 24%, by our arithmetic. The leading $1.50 trillion to $1.75 trillion IPO-price bracket moved from 65.6% to 64.8%.

The Filing Behind the Bets

Anthropic’s amended Form S-1, filed on 2 November, reports nine-month 2026 revenue of $33,242 million and third-quarter revenue of $16,956 million. It shows a nine-month net loss of $104.0 billion, of which $94.3 billion, about 91% by our arithmetic, is the change in fair value of convertible notes, derivative liabilities and SAFEs. The operating loss for the nine months was $1,260 million.

The filing leaves the offering price blank: it refers to an “assumed initial public offering price of $ per share, which is the midpoint of the estimated offering price range set forth on the cover page”. When we checked EDGAR at about 21:35 UTC on 4 November, Anthropic had filed no later amendment.

The Wall Street Journal reported on 2 November that institutional investors told the company and its advisers that its valuation in the planned IPO “later this month” should be around $1.5 trillion to $1.6 trillion, citing people familiar with the matter. That range sits inside the bracket traders favour.

Connecting the Coverage

This is the second follow-up to our Anthropic profitability page. The first showed that 91% of Anthropic’s $104B loss is fair-value remeasurement. Our first read of these markets was Anthropic Perp Slips to $1.74T; Odds Favor $1.5T-$1.75T IPO, and the Journal’s report is in Anthropic IPO Investors Push $1.5T-$1.6T, 22-24x Q3 Pace.

The Structural Read

As we read the two valuation markets together, traders put about 72% on an IPO price valuation below $1.75 trillion but only about 49% on a first-day close below that level, by our arithmetic; the gap is where they price a first-day rise, and the markets are separate contracts.

As we read the two-day change, the moves were at the edges: the 19 November contract lost 5 points and the 31 December contract 3, while the leading valuation bracket barely moved, from 65.6% to 64.8%.

Polymarket, Anthropic IPO by __? rules

“This market will resolve to “Yes” if Anthropic shares are listed on a public securities exchange and open for trading by 11:59 PM ET on the listed date.”

Three Implications

FOR TIMING Polymarket’s date contracts put 56% on trading by 20 November and 84% by 30 November; a month market put November 2026 at 84.7%.

FOR VALUATION The leading IPO-price bracket, $1.50 trillion to $1.75 trillion, stood at 64.8%, and the Journal’s reported $1.5 trillion to $1.6 trillion range sits inside it.

FOR THE FILING Anthropic’s S-1/A leaves the assumed offering price blank, and the nine-month net loss of $104.0 billion is about 91% fair-value change by our arithmetic.

The Business Engineer Lens

This story maps onto the Business Engineer framework The AI Supercycle.

The framework says of models, compute, silicon and foundries: “They have to be priced with an embedded discount for the political volatility of the control plane.”

As we read it, the prediction markets are one public place where that pricing is visible before an offer price exists. The framework does not discuss Anthropic’s IPO or Polymarket.

What Is Not Established

Anthropic has not filed an offering price range or a listing date in the filings we read, so the dates and brackets above are traders’ prices, not company guidance. Each Polymarket date or bracket is its own contract with its own volume, and some are thinly traded, so subtracting one from another gives an approximate probability. Prices move continuously; ours are a single read at 21:39 UTC.

The Bottom Line

At 21:39 UTC on 4 November, Polymarket traders priced a 55% chance, by our arithmetic, that Anthropic’s shares start trading between 16 and 20 November, and 64.8% on an IPO price valuing the company at $1.50 trillion to $1.75 trillion. Since 2 November they have trimmed the odds of a listing by 19 November and by year-end, and of the $1.75 trillion to $2.00 trillion bracket in both valuation markets, by our arithmetic.

A note on sourcing. Odds are Polymarket market prices read at 21:39 UTC on 4 November 2026 (the month market at 21:24 UTC); they are market-implied probabilities, not forecasts, and Polymarket is not a source on Anthropic’s plans. Filing figures are from Anthropic’s Form S-1/A as reported in our earlier pieces. Differences between contracts and changes since 2 November are our arithmetic.
