SpaceXAI Tops Ramp’s Fastest-Growing List as 7 of 10 Are AI

SpaceXAI is the fastest growing vendor on Ramp this month, according to Ramp’s Top SaaS Vendors letter for November 2026, which ranks software vendors by growth in market share among the businesses on its spend platform. Seven of the ten vendors on that fastest-growing list carry a category label naming AI or models on Ramp’s chart, by our arithmetic.

The same letter puts SpaceXAI’s position in context: in the latest Ramp AI Index, it says, only 2.2% of spend went to Grok. Ara Kharazian, Ramp’s lead economist, wrote the letter and posted the ranking on X on 5 November.

An evergreen Business Engineer explainer on vertical integration. It teaches the general idea only and does not discuss Ramp or SpaceXAI.

The key insight: Ramp’s November 2026 letter ranks SpaceXAI as the fastest growing vendor among businesses on its platform, while its AI Index puts Grok’s share of AI spend at 2.2%; seven of the ten fastest growers carry AI or model labels on Ramp’s chart, by our arithmetic.

What Ramp’s List Shows

Ramp’s chart ranks the fastest growing vendors as SpaceXAI and Anthropic, both labelled Foundational LLMs, followed by TypeSafe AI (Decision model), Higgsfield AI (Image & video AI), ElevenLabs (Voice AI models & infrastructure) and Granola (AI Notetaker).

The rest of the ten are Cloudflare (Web hosting & site builders), Tailscale (VPN/networking), Wispr Flow (AI dictation) and Supabase (DevOps). The chart says the ranking reflects growth in market share, using card and bill pay data from 85K+ businesses on Ramp’s spend platform.

A second column, labelled trending for breakout growth relative to size, is led by Ornn AI (Wholesale GPU capacity) and Beam (Neocloud). TypeSafe AI appears on both lists.

What Was Posted on X

Ara Kharazian, who wrote Ramp’s letter, posted the ranking on X on 5 November, calling SpaceXAI the fastest growing software company according to Ramp spend data. The post adds Kharazian’s own views: that SpaceXAI’s coding advantage and new consumer offering could accelerate business adoption of its models, that cybersecurity SaaS keeps growing, and that Wispr Flow and Granola both made the list.

What Kharazian Wrote

Kharazian wrote that SpaceXAI is “extremely well positioned to win market share in AI, except for one thing”, and that “the most negative thing you could say about SpaceXAI’s market position is that it owns a very small share of AI token spend.”

The letter says questions about the financial viability of model developers like OpenAI and Anthropic “haven’t applied to SpaceXAI because it owns so much compute that it can sell and rent it to whomever is the top buyer”, and it describes SpaceXAI as Anthropic’s largest compute supplier.

Kharazian wrote that SpaceXAI is following the playbook that drove Anthropic’s rise and “can do the same with Grok 4.7 and Grokbot”, with one caveat: “SpaceXAI will likely not enjoy that same public popularity tailwind.” Those are Kharazian’s views.

On AI dictation, the letter says Wispr Flow and Granola each launched a feature competing with the other, and that both added customers and grew their adoption rates this month, “landing at positions 6 and 9 on our fastest growing software vendors list.”

The Structural Read

As we read Ramp’s chart, the ranking measures growth in market share, not size: a vendor can lead it from a small base, which is the point the letter makes about Grok’s 2.2%.

As we read the list, two of the ten fastest growers are foundational model makers, SpaceXAI and Anthropic, and five more are AI applications or infrastructure by Ramp’s own labels.

As we read the letter, Kharazian links SpaceXAI’s position to its compute, describing it as Anthropic’s largest compute supplier; that is Kharazian’s description.

Three Implications

FOR THE RANKING Ramp ranks SpaceXAI first and Anthropic second on growth in market share; its chart gives ranks, not growth rates.

FOR SPEND SHARE Ramp’s letter says only 2.2% of spend went to Grok in the latest Ramp AI Index.

FOR THE SAMPLE Ramp’s chart says the data comes from card and bill pay data from 85K+ businesses on its spend platform.

The Business Engineer Lens

This story maps onto the Business Engineer framework The AI Capex Map & The State of AI Hyperscalers.

The framework says: “The May 2026 Map of AI argued that the seven-layer AI stack is now governed from the bottom — energy, silicon, compute capacity.”

As we read it, Kharazian’s letter ties SpaceXAI’s position to the compute it owns. The framework predates Ramp’s ranking and does not discuss Ramp, SpaceXAI or this list.

What Is Not Established

Ramp’s published chart gives ranks, not growth rates, so the size of SpaceXAI’s lead over Anthropic is not stated. The letter does not give SpaceXAI’s own market-share figure, and the 2.2% refers to the share of AI spend going to Grok in the Ramp AI Index, which is a different measure from the vendor ranking. The data covers businesses on Ramp’s platform, not the whole market.
