Update, 6 Nov, 21:58 UTC: Kalshi eases to 82 cents. Kalshi’s “Before Dec 1, 2026” contract, which resolves Yes “if Anthropic confirms an IPO before Dec 1, 2026”, last traded at 82 cents at 21:58 UTC, with a bid of 82 and an ask of 83 cents, according to Kalshi’s public market data. That is 3 points below the 85 cents reported above and 18 points above the contract’s previous price of 64 cents, by our arithmetic. The Financial Times’ reported $1.25T–$1.75T valuation range is covered in our piece on Anthropic pressing on with its IPO. These are traders’ prices, not forecasts.
Polymarket priced the chance that Anthropic lists its shares by 30 November at 76% at 21:15 UTC on 6 November, up from 59% at 20:30 UTC and from 54% at 14:37 UTC, according to Polymarket’s public market data. That is a rise of 22 percentage points from the afternoon read, by our arithmetic, after the contract fell from 86.5% on 4 November to 50.5% at 09:00 UTC on Friday.
The move came around the time the Financial Times reported, as summarised by Techmeme at about 21:12 UTC, that “Anthropic is continuing with plans to list before the Thanksgiving holiday this month, expecting to raise $80B-$100B at a valuation of $1.25T to $1.75T”, citing sources. The market data do not show why traders moved, and the timing alone does not establish a cause.

Connecting the Coverage
This afternoon we reported that traders had cut November Anthropic IPO odds to 54% from 86.5%. We also reported that investors were said to be discussing a $1.2 trillion to $1.3 trillion value after the rout, and that Anthropic-linked options launch Monday as the pre-IPO perpetual fell. OpenAI, meanwhile, is in talks to raise at $1.25 trillion, its CFO said. What is new here: the timing markets reversed most of the day’s cut within about 45 minutes.
The Structural Read
As we read the half-hourly history, the November contract sat at 59% at 20:30 UTC and printed 76% by 21:13 UTC, so most of the move came within about 45 minutes.
As we read the order book, the November contract’s bid was 0.71 and its ask 0.81, a 10-point spread, while the year-end contract traded in a book less than one point wide at about 88%.
As we read the two venues together, Kalshi’s “Before Dec 1, 2026” contract moved the same way, to 85 cents from a previous price of 59 cents, though it asks about an official announcement rather than the listing itself.

The analysis says: “Conflating these clocks produces the most common analytical errors of the moment.”
As we read it, prediction-market odds run on the fastest clock of all: they cut and then rebuilt a listing date within a single day. The analysis does not discuss Anthropic’s IPO or these markets.
What Is Not Established
Prediction-market prices are bets by traders, not forecasts by Anthropic, its bankers or this publication. We have not read the Financial Times article itself; its content here is as summarised in Techmeme’s headline, and we did not contact Anthropic. The November contract’s wide spread means its quoted price could move on small trades. Kalshi’s contract asks about an official announcement, not the same event as Polymarket’s listing question. All point changes are our arithmetic from the exchanges’ own data.
The Bottom Line
Polymarket priced a listing by 30 November at 76% at 21:15 UTC on 6 November, 22 points above the afternoon’s 54% by our arithmetic, after a Financial Times report that Anthropic is sticking with a pre-Thanksgiving listing. The order book on that contract was 10 points wide.
